It really is the best time of the year for basketball people in the state of Texas. Starting on Monday, all the way through the 8PM tip of the 6A state championship game at the Alamodome on March 11, we’re going to be working around the clock to bring you the best TXHSBB coverage possible from every corner of the state.
Whether you are a player, coach, or parent, don’t take this time for granted! As a player, you get a maximum of 4 of these playoff experiences. Make the most of it making memories with your teammates that will last a lifetime.

Introducing: The GASO Bracket Pick’Em
With the playoffs starting and it getting close to the real March Madness, we’ve decided to launch our own Bracket Challenge for the Texas high school playoffs!
And just to keep things simple, you don’t even have to fill out a complete bracket! Just name the four regional champions in both 6A and in 5A, and you will win a free premium subscription to the GASO FastBreak Newsletter for the rest of the year!

UIL Playoff Pairings: Notable First Round Matchups
All across the state brackets are being filled out in all classifications, with several ties needing to be settled to get the exact seeding right. But the brackets have already taken enough shape for us to see several big time first round matchups, with Lyndon Cook (@GASOLyndon) breaking down notable games set to be played next Monday/Tuesday.
