Unfortunately Twitter has limited their compliance with Substack so I can’t post the whole thread here, but it’s worth knowing just how massive the transfer portal is, and the general makeup of who has gone portaling.
Assuming 15 roster spots per team, times the 358 D1 teams in college basketball, that means we currently have 28% of all NCAA basketball players that suited up last year in the portal.
Just another reason to make sure you do all the right things as a recruit to make yourself stand out to college coaches.
