Almost a month into the season and the next two weekends will be
We’ve compiled a full database of tournament schedules that will continue to be updated as more coaches send in their brackets.
GASO HS Team Rankings 6A-1A
With our first update of the season set to drop next week, it’s safe to say there’s going to be some major shakeups all over the place as we’ve already seen some huge matchups between the top squads in all the big classifications. You can also expect some new no.1 teams as well.
Two new No.1’s get their turn in classes 6A and 5A, as Brennan’s undefeated start has been loud on a national stage, while Fort Bend Marshall’s only loss was to Brennan in the championship game of the McDonald’s Texas Invitational last month.
Both teams have earned their top billing a month into the season, while Kimball has had some very notable wins to hold strong atop the 4A pile.
Due to the prevalence of football in the small school ranks, it will likely be after Christmas that we see any big shakeups in the 3A-1A ranks as some of the top teams will be without their top players until their football playoff run comes to an end.
Tournament Season Continues
While the Thanksgiving Break offers a nice change of pace for players and coaches alike, it’s also home to two of the most notable early season events in the state - with tons of eyes on the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Duncanville and the Texas Jamboree in Houston. As always, we’ve had our eyes and ears out to highlight some of the top performers we saw over the post-Thanksgiving hoops slate.
Thanksgiving Hoopfest Recap + Starting 5’s
With national powerhouses coming down to Texas to take on the best our state has to offer, GASO’s Lyndon Cook and Michael Timmins were all over Duncanville HS to get an eval on some of the state’s top prospects and programs.
